It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

And why is that? Because fall has arrived in Portland. And with the arrival of fall comes that most cherished of autumn traditions....the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. Marn introduced me to them a few years ago & every time they come back for the season, I can't control myself. I've already had 4 of them over the past week. I can literally feel my pants becoming tighter. It doesn't help that there's a Starbucks on quite possibly every street corner in Portland.

Now I know not everyone likes Starbucks; my mum thinks it tastes burnt, John doesn't like having to use names other than "small", "medium" or "large" when ordering a cup of coffee & my brother calls it Fivebucks 'cause that's how much everything costs. But if you are a fan, won't you join me? Go get yourself a Pumpkin Spice Latte, wrap your hands around the cup the way you're supposed to in the fall & enjoy the taste of comfort.

Fully caffeinated,
PortlandGirl

p.s. I'd like to wish my fellow Canadians a Happy (one-day belated) Thanksgiving. I'm especially thankful this year for my mum's successful knee-replacement just last Wednesday. She's a champion!
