Good Hair is in the Eye of the Beholder

I hate my hair right now. It's driving me nuts. It's the longest it's been in a while & I don't like the way it feels on my neck...like a hair scarf that I keep having to adjust b/c it gets too itchy. It's also at that stage where no matter how I try to style it, it looks like crap b/c the style has grown right out. Actually, I think it grew out about two months ago. I've been cursing my hair in the mirror every morning for a while now.

I REALLY need to get it cut.

And colored.

I haven't been to the hairdresser since hmmm....when? Since May. May! My last hair appointment was 6 months ago?! Yikes. How did that happen? I don't even have a hairdresser out here yet. (Hairdresser is a funny word.)

To be honest, I ALMOST had a hairdresser out here. I made an appointment a few weeks ago at a place near us that looked decent. (I've had fairly good luck with moving to new places & picking hairdressers & I'm hoping that trend will continue.) It took a while for them to find an open appointment that matched my schedule (or vice versa), but we finally settled on Saturday, November 17th at 2:00 p.m. Needless to say, I've been looking forward to this appointment for a while.

And now, I'm going to have to put my "New Hairdo Excitement" on hold b/c I've had a change in my weekend work schedule & I just had to cancel my appointment. DAMN!! Isn't that always the way? Just when you think you're close to escaping your hair prison, your request for parole gets denied. Great.

So, Deb. Dado. Steffano Bruno. Let me apologize now for the state my hair next week. Please know that I did my best to remedy the situation. Can't wait to see you!!

Shave & a haircut,
Cousin Itt (a.k.a. PortlandGirl)

p.s. I just got a message from my office that one of my new clients, whom I met for the first time yesterday, called in to say that she really enjoyed her appointment. Oh, and she also wanted to know who my hairdresser was b/c she really liked my hair.
