I'm Not Ready Yet!

How come no matter how many vacation days you take, you always need just one more?!

I'm not sure if it was the fantabulous Florida girls' retreat at the beginning of December, the subsequent two weeks of highly un-Portland-like winter weather, or the Christmas celebrations that made up much of last week, but I am now fully entrenched in Vacation Mode. Or is it Hibernation Mode? I'm not sure yet.

Either way, I know I'm going to have to snap out of it in about 15 hours. Yuck. I hate that feeling.

Grudgingly,

The Ultimate Birthday Cocktail

Take a highball glass & fill it up to the top with the following ingredients:

- 1 week in Florida with 5 incredible women
- perfect weather
- champagne toasts on the beach at sunset
- shopping trips galore
- afternoons spent lounging around the pool
- late night hot tubs
- wonderful meals in all kinds of restaurants
- even more wonderful desserts
- morning beach walks
- non-stop laughter

For reasons I won't go into now, this drink is called a "7:30 Reservation". Order one whenever you can in life!

I'm trying to squeeze out every last drop of goodness of my vacation before the reality of 'regular life' returns tomorrow. I just hope my holiday-induced state of relaxation won't come to a screeching halt as soon as the alarm goes off in the morning.

Happily & sadly at the same time,

Leavin' on a Jet Plane

Well, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go
My friends are waitin', they're blowin' their horn
Already, I'm so excited, I could die

I'm off to Florida to spend a week in girlfriend therapy! A most generous birthday gift from Deb & Dado that couldn't have come at a better time.

I'll be returning a year older, but hopefully a whole lot fresher. And I'm sure I'll have some improved abdominal muscles from all of the laughter!

See you at 37.
